Hip
Hop Hoodíos
The allstar Latino-Jewish urban music collective is releasing its full-length
debut album, scheduled for release March 2005 on Jazzheads Records. A collaborative
effort featuring appearances from members of Santana, Jaguares, The Klezmatics,
Los Abandoned, and Orixa, Hip Hop Hoodíos continue to defy categorization
with their trilingual mayhem and musical assault on all that is sacred. The
group recently made its highly-successfuly European debut with a series of
dates in France. Look for U.S. tour dates to be announced shortly: Hoodios
“Latin alternative was already scrambling
the definitions of musical categories, and Hip Hop Hoodios throw in humor
and ethnicity for added confusion.”
